A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"If your looking for a good ice cream shop this is a great choice! Lots of choices of ice cream and the line although normally long it moves fast! Employees have always been kind and helpful! I got the chocolate amaretto cheesecake ice cream in a sundae, my husband the banana split. And my daughter a scoop of the chocolate amaretto ice cream!"
"Even in 2025, I believe this is the #1 Ice Cream place in all of Louisiana hands down! Awesome service, nostalgic decorum, fair priced ice cream, and tasty ice cream. For one big scoop of ice cream in a cup is $4.50 with no tax included… how can you complain about that?! The inside was clean as well. The only thing is that you have to street park, but there are a lot of spots you can find in the area. Overall, my go to ice cream place if I’m in the area!"
"I’m not a big ice cream eater but this place was fantastic. This quaint little tiny place when we arrive had a line outside the door but I moved quickly. There is plenty of seating inside because people didn’t stay and camp out while they were eating eating their ice cream. My family at six was able to get in and out of there in about 45 minutes. The variety of choices was excellent. The ice cream was creamy and tasteful. It didn’t seem to wash away every time I swallowed. I had a little bit of all of my kids choices and everyone of them had the same consistency of excellent preparation and tastefulness. I would definitely recommend anybody come here or go again. I’m not sure about the other locations. I chose this one because I had the most reviews and I we left with packed bellies and sleepy kids. Pro tip - I parked across the street."
"Creole Creamery Ice Cream Parlor is a whimsical ice cream parlor that brings joy to every scoop. Walking in, you’re greeted by a colorful display of flavors that range from classic vanilla to adventurous options like lavender honey. I sampled their salted caramel, which was rich and creamy with the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The staff was enthusiastic and eager to let me try different flavors before making my decision. I opted for a sundae topped with hot fudge and whipped cream, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for families. Chilly Delights also offers dairy-free options, ensuring everyone can indulge. This parlor is a delightful destination for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth with high-quality ice cream."
"This shop is adorable. When you enter you're surrounded by the amazing smell of waffle cones. I really enjoyed the creole strawberry (pictured). It was delicious. There are so many flavors that it can be hard to decide what to get. Luckily they offer an ice cream sampler for the more indecisive among us. I will definitely return when I'm back in town."
"Creole Creamery felt like a classic, old-school ice cream parlor with a fun New Orleans twist. The shop had a lively, nostalgic vibe, and the menu was packed with creative flavors alongside the traditional favorites. I tried a couple of scoops, and they were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. You can tell they take their ice cream seriously — the texture was smooth and the taste was bold without being overly sweet. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to sample more than one flavor. Overall, it’s a must-visit dessert spot in New Orleans — playful, indulgent, and full of local charm."
"My family and I went here for a tasty treat! It had a small town vibe inside and the staff were nice. Parking was somewhat difficult. We had to park about a block away and walk down. It was pretty busy at the time, but wait time wasn't more than 8 minutes! There were various choices some of which not found anywhere else that I know of. There were only three vegan choices, two of which were sorbet. I had the satsuma sorbet which was pretty good! They will allow you to taste any flavor before you buy which was cool. The restrooms left much to be desired. Other than that, not a bad place to visit. I just wish they had more vegan choices for myself since I don't eat dairy."
"07MAR25 ~ What a fun place to eat ice cream and spend time with your family or friends! Kids will love this place! It is a locally owned & operated small business. You order and they make everything right in front of you. There are lots & lots of options of ice cream and how you want it prepared. They make their own ice cream on & change some of the types of ice cream often. The inside is clean, bright, with a friendly, fun, atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are good. I had the Classic Sundae, which I recommend, and it was all I could do to finish it. My grandson had to help me! This was my first visit to Creole Creamery & I went with my son and his family (Who are regulars). My son was the first person to complete 'The Tchoupitoulas Special' twice (It was $25 when my son ate two of them. Now it is $45)!"
